Gerald is a handsome tailless black cat with beautiful yellow eyes. He is about 2 years old, but still has plenty of kitten in him. He is charming, cuddly, affectionate, curious, and loves to play, although he can get a bit excited (ie., rambunctious). When not in high energy mode, he often likes to just hang out on a comfy spot close to his humans, and he loves to snuggle. (Of course, he still naps 12-20 hours a day… he is a cat after all!)
Gerald is learning what life is like inside a home, so things are very new to him; he has warmed up to the TV but was very frightened of it at first. He’ll want to investigate any new objects or sounds as he wants to know about everything that’s going on around him (and you). He loves to explore the house and enjoys climbing on just about everything, but he’s incredibly smart and will learn very fast what he’s allowed and not allowed to do (honestly, he is by far the smartest cat I have ever encountered in my whole life). He loves to be with people and he is very social, if you go to another room, chances are he will follow close behind to make sure he’s not missing out on anything.
Geralds’ short life so far has not been too kind to him. He lost his tail due to neglect and has been learning what life is like in a clean, loving home. He needs a home full of kindness, patience, and above all, love. He’s a truly beautiful, smart, and kind cat and will make anyone the luckiest person alive. He would probably do best in a busy, playful environment (e.g., a house with another playful cat or a family with children to play with) or with someone who is at home most of the time.
