Successful Bottle Drive

A great bottle drive to celebrate the 1st day of fall. We raised $1583.60! A bit of a slower day for us but still a great haul to help the kitties. We have been doing these for over 4 years and we never tire of the friendly faces of our devoted followers, the smiles of the new folks we meet and the furry friends that stop and say hi. Also big thanks to those who generously bring treats…. This time it was delicious Cob’s cinnamon buns to keep our energy up. And without fail, we get some young supporters who want to give us their donation money instead of keeping it to treat themselves!!! A lot of people think it’s gross having to pick thru and count all the empties, but it’s for a wonderful cause and we have AMAZING volunteers who keep coming out! Thanks to Megan and Sue for taking photos as they have noticed Michelle always forgets until the last minute when people have started to leave. The next bottle drive will be Sunday Oct 20 and note the end time will be changing to 2:30 for future drives.
