We thought that once her litter mates had all gone, Miss Trixie would be lonely. Instead she has blossomed overnight. She is one of the happiest, most contented kittens we have ever had in our foster home, often just walking around purring quietly to herself. She amuses herself for long periods of time with her stuffy toys and likes to carry them into our bed to play or sleep. She doesn’t seem to mind being left alone for the day (with the resident cats). She spends quite a bit of time tagging around behind and playing with our crazy one-year-old cat. But when Trixie has had enough, her torti temper surfaces, and she very firmly but politely ends the play-time and walks away. At nap time, she looks for the closest available lap and is generally very affectionate. She is still a bit skittish with new people, and she really doesn’t like loud noise or very young children, but older kids, adults, and other animal friends are all good with her. (CCAR ID: C18-189)
