Percival (Percy) came to us a very shy and untrusting kitten. With lots of patience and love, his amazing little personality is shining through and he is ready for his furever home.
Percy is very playful. He likes to entertain himself with toy mice, balls, bells, empty toilet paper rolls, scrunched up paper and pretty much anything he can smack around and chase. He absolutely loves to play with his people with a feather or pompom wand, anything dangling from a string, and the string itself. He does leave his toys lying around, but knows where his toy box is to go get them if they have been picked up. We have taken great care to teach Percy that hands are not toys, and only for scratchies and cuddles.
Once you have bonded, he is easy to pick up and cuddle, and may even stay a while for a snooze on your chest. At night, he’ll sleep on the foot of the bed, or in the crook of your knee. However, he may pounce on your toes if you wriggle them under the blanket too much. Be warned though, there are no cuddles after food and after long afternoon naps, as that is when it’s play time and everything is a chase and a toy!
Because of Percy’s rough start, please be aware that he is a little wary of strangers, and will need a little time to bond to his new people. Wands work great! Please be assured that he is so worth the patience and effort. Percy has beautiful large eyes and such and an incredibly long body. He definitely has plenty of length and ears to grow into. His paw pads are perfectly cute. He purrs like a tractor, sniffs like bellow, and there is no mistaking that Percy is definitely all boy! He is so much fun to be around and such a precious gem! He is quite the champ. https://youtu.be/wm-mtLRx_V8
