Billy is named after Bootstrap Bill Turner, and like his namesake, he’s a soft-hearted soul with a streak of internal conflict. He wants to be brave… but also hides under the bed. He wants affection… but also pretends he’s far too dignified for such things.
He’s a cautious little guy still learning that people can be safe. New places and faces make him pause and observe with those big amber eyes. But once he decides you’re trustworthy, his personality unfolds in the sweetest ways. His purr is surprisingly loud, and his meow sounds like Simba practicing his roar in The Lion King.
Treats are his weakness, and mealtime brings enthusiastic laps and a distinctive “food run” that’s impossible to ignore. His pastimes include hunting the laser pointer, pouncing on feet under the sheets, watching birds, and even following YouTube videos on the TV.
Billy prefers all four paws on the ground and doesn’t enjoy being picked up. With a shake of treats, though, he comes running, and he’ll often settle on your lap on his own terms.
