Ben is a very curious kitten – he loves to explore and play with his sister Bailey. He especially loves other cats – actually he likes other cats more than people. Ben is also very nervous/shy about being “touched”. When he first came to live with me, everything frightened him. He has been with me 3 months now and allows me to pet him and cuddle with him – he purrs a lot and seems to enjoy it – he loves to sleep with me. He is very affectionate, but always on “his terms”. I can never reach out to pet him – he will always avoid a hand coming towards him. However, if he wants attention, he will climb into my lap and want to be stroked. When strangers come to the house, he is very curious, but although he will get close to strangers, it is still “no touching”. He is also smart and super stubborn. Ben is looking for a quiet home with a “cat whisperer” who will understand his “quirky” nature and understand it will take quite awhile to gain his trust. He is worth it though, he really is a handsome and affectionate guy.
