Although Tessa is a large dog, she really is a couch potato and does not need long walks, a short walk daily is perfect for this laid back, easygoing girl. She does get really excited when she meets new dogs but with the right introduction, we are confident she would be okay with another dog. We are not sure how she would be with cats so a cat free home would be the best. She is good with small children, although bear in mind she is a big dog and just bumping into a small child could knock that child over. The present foster has a 5 year old. She is on daily medication, inexpensive, for a thyroid condition and she may end up not needing this at some point. CCAR would be willing to pay for the medication for her for the next two years as well as blood work as required for the right adoptive home.
