Orchid has severe hearing loss- she didn’t even twitch when I blew a dog whistle. 
At first, she is very cautious of new people and surroundings- Wouldn’t you be if you couldn’t hear what was coming? She would need to have a fenced yard and always be on leash so that she doesn’t wander off.
She has been with us for 3 weeks and she is very comfortable. She loves her people and does not like to be separated from you. She likes to sleep with you in your bed. She can come in and out of the cat door and goes to the bathroom outside. She loves to wrestle with our dog and gets more confident when she has a buddy. Even though, she is still a bit unsure, she is building up her confidence and has been walking on a leash for about 4 km/day.
