Meet Wilf, AKA Wilfey. This adorable boy will melt your heart. With his puffy cheeks looks like a little bear. Wilf took a while to feel safe – needing a quiet place to hide but with some encouragement he realized he was in a safe place and now he follows us everywhere – he escorts us to the bathroom in the middle of the night, etc.
Once he feels safe with you, Wilf is the most affectionate cat you
could ask for – doesn’t like to be picked up and scrambles from you within a minute, however he loves as much petting as you are willing to give, including belly rubs and enjoys being brushed – just not his tail so much and he’ll gently let you know that.
Wilf took a while but is now a total lap cat – alternating from his
mom and dad fosters. He also now sleeps with us on the bed instead of under it, cuddling up close. He is a very quiet cat – we didn’t think he even had a voice for the first 6 days, all he did was a low grunt, but like everything else, when he felt comfortable he started to communicate with little “trill” noises when you touch him or talk to him. He is also quite chatty when it’s feeding time which is one of
his favourite hobbies.
Next to sleeping he loves his food, did I mention he loves to sleep? – that is his number 1 hobby. If you want an active cat – Wilf is not the cat for you, however he is beginning to play a bit more. He has an “active” spurt around 9:30 pm and again around 4:30 am where he chases his ball or tiny mouse around. He is currently in a quiet household with no children or pets. He is fine with company, however not too sure about children. We know he doesn’t like dogs,
not sure how he would be with another cat.
