Say Hello to Strings! She is a sweet, affectionate and chatty two year old champagne and grey tabby. Strings was owner surrendered due to changing circumstances, so she comes with everything she needs to move in and feel at home. (Cat-tree, scratching post, litter box, carrier, toys and even food dishes.)
This little gal arrived timid and skittish but has confidently blossomed out of her shell! (Though loud and unsuspected sounds may still startle her.)
Strings is happy to spend her day watching birds and other wildlife out the window, napping on your lap (or chest where she has quick and easy access to face rubs), or perhaps just lounging next to you. When it is time to play, Strings puts on a show of her youthful energy and agility. She goes absolutely bonkers for a laser toy and is currently obsessed with a repurposed shoe lace tied to a fan of recycled paper… ahh, simple pleasures!
Above all, Strings’ favourite toy is a little plush shrimp. Toss “Shrimpy” down the hall and Strings will bound after it, play with it then bring it back to you to do it again. You might even hear her “talking” to Shrimpy as she pounces and tosses it around. Guaranteed to put a smile on your face!
Strings is happy to share her new home with another cat and would fit well into any family and living environment She’s always been an indoor-only kitty, so maintaining that will be important as she will be too skittish to be safe in the outside world. She is gentle, even tempered and well versed in the necessary manners to be a good housemate. Strings is quietly clever, observing and learning from her foster-home’s resident cat. It did not take her long to learn that the opening of the fridge door or the tink of a fork on her dish meant food was ready! She is fully litter trained, recently spayed (healed beautifully) and micro-chipped.
Strings may arrive to her new home nervous at first, but once you get that first head-bump and face-rub and the purr motor engages, you’ll know you’re well on the way to being granted full “approved-human” status.
