Meet Smudgy, this gorgeous, petite girl will melt your heart once she gets to know you.
She loves to be petted, and purrs and kneads the second you touch her, however she does not like to be picked up so you have to get down to her level!
Smudgy needs a great deal of gentle encouragement to feel comfortable and is very timid at first, but once she knows you and is familiar with her surroundings, she is so, so sweet with her little “mew” – it’s not a real meow, just a very little voice which you won’t hear very often. She is very polite and gently rubs your leg or gives a little mew to say “I would like you to play with me” or “I think I’d like you to give me some wet food”.
Smudgy is very quiet at night, sometimes playing with her ping pong ball for a few minutes before going back to sleep. Her needs are simple, she doesn’t need a special bed – prefers to sleep in her cardboard “scratcher” box LOL, which doubles as a prop for playing with her favourite toys – mostly balls.
We are working on getting her to let us pick her up. I’ve been able to gently/swiftly scoop her up on to the bed a few times and I’m trying to encourage her to sit on my lap but haven’t been successful yet.
Smudgy is currently in a quiet household with no children or other pets. Not sure how she would be with another cat or a dog. She is not fond of young children but a family with older kids may work as she still is very kitten-like and enjoys lots of play time. Come and meet this lovely girl.
