These two young cats came into our care as very, very sick kittens (only weeks old). It was touch and go for a while as to whether they would survive but they did and are now doing so very well. They are now bonded and must be adopted together.
Both kittens had major eye issues and in order to save their vision, they saw the animal eye specialist and both of them ultimately had surgery. This means that they need daily eye medication. These are the foster’s comments:
Raven gets Tacrolimus 0.02% eye drop three times a day. A bottle currently costs about $50 to $60 and will last close to three months. (As long as we are able, CCAR will supply this medication; however, if we are in severe financial difficulties or go out of business (hopefully not!) we cannot promise to continue to do this.)
Both Raven and Taki get Optixcare once daily (this is not expensive.) They are both really really good at taking these and do not struggle at all. Honestly – the best cats ever hands down.
These two bonded cats are the most loving, gentle and fun kitties ever. They love to play with each other and they love to play with you. They are the most gentle cats and they love to cuddle. At night, the will snuggle up to keep your toes and back warm! In 40 years of living with cats, these cats are the most social and loving cats I have ever had in my life.
They need a really good home and they should stay together. They will take a piece of my heart with them. I definitely got attached.
Note that this foster is going to be doing extensive travelling over the next few years and therefore is not in a position to keep these cats on a long term basis.
