Please Note: This is a courtesy post, as Kokomo (Mo) is not a CCAR cat. You will need to contact the owner directly for more information.
Are you ready to add a touch of eccentricity to your life? Look no further than Kokomo, our Siamese gentleman with a personality as striking as his big blue eyes.
Personality:
Kokomo is affectionately referred to as ‘Mo’. He is a beautiful lilac point Siamese with legs for days and a tail to match. Mo is a naturally awkward fella which is a big part of his charm. His favourite activities are eating snacks (especially vegetables), snoozing in a quiet hideaway or in a cozy bed with his people, lying under big leaves in the back garden and playing ‘soccer’ with anything that resembles a small stick. Mo does know a few tricks and can fetch (when he’s in the mood). He is uncharacteristically quiet for a Siamese so if you are looking for someone to have a conversation with, he isn’t your guy.
Background:
Mo has done a lot of travelling in his life. He originally came from California as a rescue after his owner passed away. He spent some time in different foster situations before he came to us. He is a sensitive soul and all this change has been tough for him. We had hoped to be Mo’s forever home but unfortunately he and our other cat do not get along and our other cat now has some health issues. It has been a very difficult decision to find Mo a new family.
Special Needs:
Mo has some health needs. He has a high fibre diet and takes medications for anxiety. Mo is territorial with other cats and he has had physical altercations with our other cat. He has bitten us (people) when we have attempted to break up their cat fights. Mo has never initiated aggression towards people outside of these situations. His biting has always been a responsive behaviour. Mo’s pattern is otherwise to take himself away if he is bothered by something.
Ideal Home:
Mo needs a home where he can be the centre of attention. Mo should not share his space with other pets or children. He needs a home that is calm and has places where he can comfortably hide and have his alone time. Mo does need access to the outdoors for his mental health. He is not much of a climber and a fenced back yard keeps him contained and content.
We expect that Mo will take a while to settle wherever he goes but his goofy personality will be the reward at the end. We do believe that if he has his own space without another cat he will thrive and may even be able to reduce some of his anxiety medications.
