When Patra arrived at her foster home, hiding under the bed was her safe place. However, for the last several weeks, she’s been sleeping on the bed with her foster mom for most of the night.
Patra sometimes cuddles up against her there; after that, she sleeps nearby on the bed. She’s the most low-maintenance little cat this foster mom ever had. She loves to be stroked and scratched and purrs readily. She is not a huge fan of being picked up but we are working on this. She will tolerate petting on her tummy.
We did have Patra checked out and she does have an old injury on one leg that causes her to limp from time to time. It is not an injury that bothers her except that she does avoid climbing on high surfaces (your counters are safe!) Our vet is not concerned about long term issues with this but she absolutely must always be an indoor cat.
We don’t know how Patra is with other cats or dogs and she would probably be better in a quiet home with no young children. We feel that this little cat has had a pretty rough time but she is really starting to blossom and be the calico that she is!
