This lovely guy is FIV positive. Due to a change in circumstances, his previous owner needed to find him a new home or face the unthinkable decision of having him euthanized. CCAR came to his rescue and took him in. FIV is not a death sentence; cats with FIV can live long, healthy lives. Ideally, he should be an only cat or be with another cat with FIV. Patch Catams must be kept as an indoor cat.
Here are the foster mom’s comments regarding this lovely lad:
Patch Catams is a positively wonderful cat who loves being around people as much as possible. He loves pets and cuddles. He is quite gentle and would probably be really good for a family. He purrs so loudly when he’s happy and even drools sometimes. Quite the character!
