Meeko is truly the perfect cat. Clean, quiet, does not scratch furniture, gentle, litter box trained, and above all, he has so much love to give. He loves his head scratches and brushings and will happily curl up beside you for a movie night, or at your feet to keep you warm while you sleep. He just likes to be near you. He’s not much of a talker until meal time, when he will be sure to sing you the song of his people. We have discovered a love for catnip, which now needs to be hidden away because he WILL find it. As he becomes comfortable, a playful side is appearing. He has lots of life in him.
He’s shown no interest in getting outside so I believe he’s been an indoor cat all his life. He does spook with loud noises so perhaps would do best in a quiet household without other pets. I would be confident owning him as a renter as he shows no signs of destructiveness.
At 13, Meeko would be a good fit for somebody who is looking for a great companion but does not have time for the full time job that is owning a kitten.
