Marley is the kind of kitty who genuinely wants to be part of your day. She’s curious, super smart, and loves hanging out near people, even if she’s not quite a full-on lap cat yet. She’s more of a “I’ll be right beside you” girl, and it feels easy to imagine that once she’s settled into her forever home and really bonds with her people, the cuddles will come. She isn’t fearful at all, she just likes her personal space, and her fosters have been really impressed by how confident and calm she is.
Marley is also wonderfully gentle for such a playful young cat. She loves to pounce and wrestle, but she rarely ever uses sharp claws or teeth, and she’s been great with kids. Because she’s so friendly and social, Marley would do well in a home with another cat, or with a gentle dog who’s respectful with cats.
One of Marley’s funniest traits is how food-motivated she is. Her fosters have been calling her “Bebe” as a nickname (short for “Big Bite”, aka “B.B”), because she is a serious little eater. If you’ve got treats in your hand, she’ll suddenly be your best friend, and with how smart she is, she’d be a great candidate for learning tricks or doing little training games.
For a cat with so much energy, Marley has been surprisingly well-behaved in her foster’s house. No plant destruction, no curtain climbing, and no mischief — aside from one paper towel roll that, frankly, had it coming.
If you’re looking for a goofy, spunky, gentle little sweetheart who will greet you the moment you walk in the door and make your home feel a bit more alive, Marley really is something special.
