About Lucy

Meet Lucy – a Sweet and Resilient Soul 💛

Lucy is currently about 3 years old.  She came to us about a year ago as a devoted mama to 4 precious kittens.  She had a challenging start and required some extra medical care early on, but with patience, treatment, and lots of love, Lucy has blossomed into the most gentle and affectionate companion.
Over the last year she has made so much progress!  She has gone from being hesitant of humans to fully demanding attention and love every day.  She is lovely to have around; she is quiet, super smart and such a sweetheart.  Although she is still not quite a lap cat, she does love short visits in your lap where she loves to roll around and get those rubs on her head.  She is famous for head butting!   Lucy does however LOVE to sleep with you at night!  She is most snuggly in bed and loves to cuddle up and be near you soaking up the closeness.  It’s absolutely adorable!!
Lucy does have a manageable viral infection from earlier in life that has left her with some lasting sensitivity in one eye.  This means her eye may occasionally appear watery and a bit runny.  She appreciates a gentle daily wipe (or as needed), which she patiently allows.   It’s simply part of her daily routine now and does not stop her from enjoying life.
Lucy also prefers to keep all four paws on the ground.  Although she is much better now when being picked up, she still does not prefer it.  She is however incredibly trusting and very gentle.  She loves to meet new people and does not hide; she actually loves being in the middle of everything!  She will greet people with her charming silent meow and quickly wins their hearts!  Lucy’s latest new adventure is that she has adapted to having a puppy around and we can safely say that she would accommodate very well in a household with a dog.
Lucy will thrive best in a more quiet home and also being the only cat.  However, she would do fine with a dog in the home but no small children as stress can sometimes cause mild eye flare-ups.
Lucy is currently very happy, comfortable, and doing great!  She is searching for an adopter who will give her the love she deserves – and in return, she’ll give her whole heart.
