Furdinand has had some tough times in his short life, but he has persevered and now would like to find his forever home. However, he needs a very specific arrangement – indoor/outdoor access (i.e., a cat flap would be ideal) – and an understanding owner/family who will accept him for who he is.
When Furdinand was abandoned he was in bad shape mentally and it took a long time for him to trust humans again.
One thing that has definitely made a big difference is we now let him outside on a regular basis, which he loves.
He still has ‘moments’ and he can react poorly to changes in his environment. Having said that, he is becoming quite social now. He likes to watch TV with us and always stays nearby, and he religiously sleeps on our bed every night and does not get up until we do. He likes being petted more and more (and even allows tummy rubs sometimes) and will purr loudly when he’s in a particularly good mood.
Furdinand has come a long way and just needs a loving and tolerant home where he is free to roam about outside.
