Hello, my name is Fancy, aka Fancy Girl or Squeegy. I know my name and will respond when called. I’m very friendly, not afraid of adults, but I will hide from children. I love to be petted although will not stand still for that, you need to follow me around. I don’t like to be picked up and I am just starting to jump up on my foster’s lap for a few seconds before getting back down. When being petted I will purr instantly especially for chin/neck rubs.
I’m a bit quirky, but loving in my own way once I get to know you. I’m very vocal with a variety of sounds, sometimes my meow comes out more of a rasp or squeek (hence the name Squeegy), however I can make a fairly loud, almost honking goose sound, so I should probably be in a house, not a condo. I do like to chat and make a lovely trilling purrrrr sound. I was previously with another foster who had 3 other cats and I didn’t like that, so I need to be in a household without other pets and no children please – they are not my favourites.
I’m very curious and I adjust well to my surroundings. I’ll rub up against absolutely everything to get my scent on it. I love to play with my small mousey, feather on a stick and my little tunell. I’m intrigued by the laser. I love my scratching post and cardboard scratchers – I use them constantly. I spend many hours on my cushion in a window watching the outside world. I’m a bit of a fussy eater, but my foster has finally found the menu that I like, so please ask for her secret and I do enjoy my cat grass.
