Scylla is a very special girl who had a rough start. She was extremely fearful of humans, but after months of trust building, and learning from the resident cats that people aren’t so bad, she has completely come out of her shell, into a well adjusted, extremely rambunctious, quirky young cat. While you can’t really pet her often, she is an absolute entertaining joy to watch! She chases her own tail, and loves running amok, playing with her friends, and soaking her toys in the water dish….
Scylla has a few particular must haves in her new home:
– A multi-cat household. Scylla needs other very playful cat friends, as she bonds very strongly with other felines. Scylla plays hard, so other rambunctious younger cats are a must. She would be too much for an older cat. She’s currently terrorizing her three foster “brothers”!
– Condo living. Scylla needs a smaller place, as a large home would leave too many places to get lost and hide, or escape, and not give her the best chance of trusting her new people. A bachelor or one bedroom would be perfect. As long as there is a lot of cat furniture and trees for her to ricochet off of!
– Time (and experience with shy cats). It will probably take Scylla a month or more, in her own space of a (frequently used by the humans of her household) small bathroom, or bedroom to really start to trust a new space, and new people. Once she trusts you she’ll rub on your legs and stare into your soul. But promptly chirp and hop away a foot or two when you lean down to pet her!
Scylla would do best with a single owner, and no children. If you have a rambunctious youngster of a cat that needs a buddy to play with, little Silly Scylla is your girl! (CCAR ID: CS21-430)
