Maverick is a real stunner with his sleek black coat and amber eyes. When he first arrived, Maverick was very scared and hid for the better part of two days. With lots of patience and coaxing, he is really starting to come out of his shell. He is still quite nervous of human touch, but when he allows himself to accept affection, he can’t get enough. It’s obvious that Maverick really does enjoy cuddles and love; for some reason he just has a hard time letting his guard down. Maverick needs to be adopted by someone who is looking for a rewarding challenge and is willing to put the time in to earn his trust. When it comes to other cats, he gets along with those who are docile and not overly invasive of his space.
