Literally rescued from death row, Louie and his brother Liam were in rough shape when they arrived in care. With multiple tail breaks, injuries, and infected eyes and ears, they huddled together, still searching for a mom to nurse. But with some food, meds, and a lot of cuddles, they are both on the road to recovery. Louie has recovered more quickly and is now fat and feisty and ready for his forever home. Best of all, he has become friendly and outgoing and rushes up to meet anyone new that comes in the house. He would likely be okay with younger kids and/or other pets. He would not be happy as an only cat, and does not like being alone. He would likely be best paired with a slightly older kitten or cat who likes to play but who is big enough to remind Louie when he’s playing too roughly. His tail doesn’t move quite naturally because of all the breaks, but that hasn’t slowed him down at all, except for the fact that so far he doesn’t really like to jump or climb very much. He loves to chase a ball and carry toys around in his mouth.
He is quickly morphing into a beautiful kitty, resembling a Russian Blue, right down to his plush silver-blue coat, emerald eyes, and mauve paws. (CCAR ID: C17-273)
