Shirley has been Adopted !

"I'm very well behaved and lady-like !"

Meet Shirley, aged about three years. She is black and white with interesting markings. Her foster mom calls her "Shirley with the cute shoes" because of the lovely white "bootees" she has on each foot. For some reason, Shirley looks way better in catson (person) than in a photograph; she just is not photogenic!

Shirley is a very affectionate girl, quite confident and a gentle lady.  She is an easy cat to be around, not too demanding, will look after herself but is grateful for attention if you want to give it to her. She is ok with other cats, usually she is the more dominant one, but not always.

Come and meet Shirley, or, if more convenient, a Cat's Cradle lady will bring her to meet you!

Foster mom update:

Shirley is very affectionate and likes to sit in my lap and snuggle.  I can pick her up easily and put her in my lap, but sometimes she jumps up on her own.  She loves attention but is not demanding or needy.  When I'm not in the room, she hangs out on a chair under the table where she watches the world from this secret location. 

When she first meets another cat she hisses at them a few times, then accepts them.  She is exceptionally cute and feminine with a very warm personality.  She does not hide as many cats do in a new situation.  She is very good with her scratching post too.  She would be happy with someone who works all day and interacts with her at night - or would be great as an all-day companion. 

Update: Shirley is a very pampered cat in her new home where she gets ALL the attention and also has a doting aunt and a grandmother!
