Randy Red's Story:

Randy Red is one of six wildly feral kittens who were trapped in Metchosin about a month ago.

Frankly, we didn't quite know what to do with this lovely litter as they were borderline too old to be domesticated. However, with hours of work, lots of scratches, etc, Randy Red and his littermates have come a long way. They still have a way to go, but all can be handled, love a snuggle, purr a lot, play a lot and enjoy the company of other cats. They are comfortable with humans they know but fear open spaces and will hide. Right now, they are most comfortable in their large crates; but are gradually being exposed to the big wide world of a human house!

I have no doubt that these kittens will make great domestic cats in the not too distant future. The other litter mates are Jeffery, Connor, Louie, Carmela, and Florence. Look for their photos coming soon.

Update from foster home:

Randy is still very shy but does not run away and easily allows holding and petting and likes to cuddle.  There are children in the foster home and Randy is very good with them.   He gets along wonderfully with other cats.  This sweet boy is almost ready for a permanent home!

Update: Randy has been adopted by a single guy and will be doing a lot of male bonding over the coming years.
