Parker has been Adopted!

"I'd like to reach up and give you a big hug !"

He was found begging for food on a farm.  He had been nearly starving and really likes a good meal now!  He needs some good nutrition and a good comfy home.  Although he is middle-aged we consider him “very adoptable” due to his laid-back, relaxed, and congenial personality. 

He likes other cats and is not bothered by them.  He is a sweetie and will probably do well with children and maybe even a dog.  We’d like to see him as an indoor-only cat.  We can never be sure if he was abandoned or simply is a wanderer – and we would not want to see him wander into trouble again.

Parker’s right eye looks a little unique as the inner eyelid seems to come in a tiny bit from the center.  The vet said this could be congenital or maybe from an old injury and is nothing to worry about.  We’re trying a few eye drops anyway – but probably it’s just his own “look”.  It definitely does not detract from his handsome mature face and perfectly symmetrical "milk mustache"!

Parker is also available for fostering but due to his wonderful personality we feel it would not be a long-term foster.  He’s one of those we would like to keep – but of course we must let him go to his own permanent home.  If you hurry and call, it could be your home…

Update:

Parker, one of our favorites, has gone to a great new permanent home.  He joins Andre, a HUGE tom cat we saved from the Pound who was adopted so fast that he didn't make it to the website!
