Lord Byron's Story:

Lord Byron was named after a famous poet and he truly is a classy gentleman.  Byron is a very loving cat and will bond with you for life.  He is a bit nervous around new people, but once he gets to know you he is very affectionate and cuddly, enjoying a lot of lap time.

Lord Byron has the look of a Maine Coon cat and is very handsome.  He is quite a remarkable cat with a wonderful distinct personality.  He has a unique streak of white on his nose and has a teddy bear-like manner.  Although he is a dignified “lord” we must tell you a secret – he drools….  This is only when he is particularly happy and enjoying lots of petting.

He gets along with other cats but needs an adjustment period.  If you have another cat, it would depend on how your cat gets along with others as Byron will get along with congenial and laid-back cats.

Poor Byron has had a rough time as he was abandoned at a farm and had to try to survive for awhile before his rescue.  One result of this is that he had some needed surgery to amputate a back toe, so one of his back feet is missing a middle toe, but Byron walks just fine and it appears to be nearly healed.  He is a brave soul and still thinks well of people and wants to find a particularly nice one to take him into their heart and home.

Lord Byron is one of the loveliest cats we have ever had.  He needs a lot of affection and we feel he deserves the best in life.

Update:

Lord Byron's foster parents have found themselves unable to part with sweet Byron and are adopting him.  He is now a full-fledged family member and they want to keep him forever.  Byron is in total agreement so the Cat's Cradle "matchmakers" can chalk up another victory!
