Hi ! I was adopted at 6 weeks and kept for a whole decade (yes, 10 years!). But now there is a 2-year-old who is “allergic” and a new baby on the way. They took me for a ride one day and dropped me off with a nice lady at Cat’s Cradle Animal Rescue. From what I heard them say to her, it sounds like they won’t be coming back – ever! I was packed up again and taken to a nice vet who said I look younger than my age and that I’m in good health and just the right weight for my big frame. Her exact words were that I am “very adoptable”! She liked me and I liked her. I purred throughout the exam and did everything she asked. I didn’t even mind the car ride too much because, after all, it’s better than walking! I’m a humble guy and don’t like to talk about myself BUT here goes. I’m very congenial, laid back, relaxed, and confident. I’m an all-around cool guy who is mature – with at least another decade ahead of me! My lifestyle involves napping most of the day, so I won’t mind waiting while someone is at work. I like to go to bed early and get up early for a big breakfast! I suppose I could even put up with kids again if they let me get enough sleep. I get along well with other cats – more or less ignore them and do my thing. My “thing” is usually looking for the most comfortable chair and I prefer some nice fleece or flannel on the chair to make it just right for the perfect nap. Update: Jersey is being adopted by a wonderful family of four who love his laid-back and loving personality. |
