Frankie was a devoted companion to his first owner for many years. Unfortunately, this person died. Frankie was taken under the wing of a neighbor who fed him faithfully for a year. The neighbor’s four dogs wouldn’t accept him into their home. Frankie is an exceptionally affectionate cat who is adapting to his foster home but yearns to bond with a permanent life partner. He is a fairly large cat – really just a Big Baby. He is a creamy ivory color with apricot accents, similar to a flame point Siamese. He has beautiful baby blue eyes. He’s a rare polydactyl cat – sporting huge feet with 6 toes on each front foot and 5 on each of his back feet! He likes to knead and cuddle with his big feet and is absolutely adorable. Frankie is a big teddy bear who wants a lap to settle into for long periods. For his afternoon nap he will retreat to a quiet spot, but rush faithfully to your side at even the softest calling of his name. When not around other cats he is very mellow and easygoing – and when around other cats he is nervous and scared at first, even hyperventilating a little. He eventually adjusts but is jealous of any attention another cat might get – which he feels should all be his! We feel he would be best in a one-cat household and that is what we are seeking at this time. We will tell you when he went on our website he was adopted immediately and went to a lovely home and family with one other very nice cat. They loved him dearly and even enjoyed him sleeping with them, but felt it didn’t work out and that he should be an “only cat”. Frankie is a very affectionate cat desperately in need of a person with time for mutual pampering. If you meet Frankie, you will fall in love with him – everyone does! Update: Frankie has been getting along great with the other cats in his current foster home! He is even willing to share his foster mom's lap with her other cat. Based on this, if you are interested in Frankie and have other cats it would be worth a try. Frankie seems to have matured over the last month and seems more confident and comfortable. He is still a supreme cuddler! Update: We are pleased to announce that Frankie has chosen and adopted Barbara and George for his forever home and is generously sharing his affection with both of them! |
