"I'm the only cat you'll find with a milk mustache !"

I have a very good disposition but haven’t been able to show off my good qualities lately.  It’s getting crowded around here and I can only get a little pat on the head now and then.  I have a lot to offer a person, but I need someone to whom to offer it!  

They say, “Clara is a very nice cat, she just needs a little work.”  That’s a bunch of phooey.  I don’t need “work” – what I need is some love and attention with a little patience thrown in for good measure. 

I’m okay with other cats but it takes a lot of energy to warn them to keep their distance and some of them just don’t understand.  Perhaps I should be an “only cat” so I don’t have to be on guard all the time.  If you’re at work all day I don’t mind because I like some quality alone time too.

I’m affectionate and I purr when petted.  I’d love to hang out and spend time with people.  I may hide for a day or two while I become comfortable in new territory, but after that I would like to join you. You can do your thing and I’ll do my thing and if you’ll give me a pat on the head I’ll give you a snuggly nudge in response.  I won’t expect too much of you right away if you’ll allow the same for me. 

After a little time I’m sure we can make beautiful music together!  At this point I’m not looking for adoption – but would love some time in a really cozy foster home.  There’s no time commitment for either of us so go ahead and call one of the Cat’s Cradle ladies and they’ll put you in touch with me.  This is the first step toward a permanent home for me and perhaps the first step for you to try fostering – so let’s help each other.  If you agree to foster me, then Cat’s Cradle can rescue one more cat that otherwise may still be wandering the streets looking for food….
