Although she’s grey with a tiny white patch on her upper chest, she’s named Buttercup for her sunny personality. Her fur is silky smooth and once she gets some time way from motherhood her fur will be luxurious. She has lovely green eyes and a very pretty face. Buttercup is very sweet and loves snuggling up to people and dogs. However, she is protective of her kittens and when the dogs get near them she is quite stern. She is one of those felines who detests other felines and will need to be an “only cat”. She has endearing qualities such as meowing back at you if you meow at her! She’s a total lap cat and if there are several people sitting in a room she goes from lap to lap, trying them all and sharing her affection. When Buttercup is hungry she follows her foster mom to the fridge and stands there as if to say, “It’s time to eat!” If her foster mom has cat food in her hand as she walks towards another cat, Buttercup runs after her, trying to trip and stop her. She then chirps and runs to her own bowl and stands there. She is one smart cookie and could certainly compete with a good herding dog! Buttercup will be ready for adoption in January when her kittens are old enough to leave home. Update: Buttercup has been adopted, and will be sharing a new home with Baby Black!
